Jennifer Hamill, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker in Kentucky.
Ms. Hamill received her bachelor’s degree from Georgetown College and her master’s degree in social work from the University of Kentucky. She has also worked as a psychiatric social worker and clinical coordinator in an inpatient psychiatric hospital and substance abuse programs. Ms. Hamill is a certified yoga teacher and received her yoga certification from Yoga East in Louisville in 2001. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the Kentucky Society for Clinical Social Workers.
Ms. Hamill uses a variety of therapeutic approaches including body psychotherapy, rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT), mindfulness-based therapies, various aspects of dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), trauma-informed therapies as well as various forms of creativity to facilitate the healing process.
Ms. Hamill uses a holistic approach to support clients as they create goals and identify challenges to make the desired changes in their lives. She provides treatment to ages 12 and up for individual, couples, and family therapy. She has experience treating a broad range of mental health concerns including, but not limited to: anxiety, depression, compulsivity, PTSD, life transitions, relationship challenges, grief, trauma, psychosis, personality disorders, identity concerns, caregiver burnout, and work-related stress/challenges.
Ms. Hamill is married, has 3 adult children, and 2 dogs. During her free time, she enjoys live music and yoga.
