Cowann Owens, LCSW
Mr. Cowann Owens is a licensed clinical social worker in Louisville, Kentucky, where he was born and raised. Mr. Owens provides professional care and treatment for children (starting at age 4), adolescents, teens, adults, families, and couples. He has experience in treating anxiety, depression, mood/anger management, impulsive/disruptive behaviors, grief, school issues, ADHD, adjustment disorders, etc.
Mr. Owens earned his Bachelors in Social Work from Murray State University and his Masters from University of Louisville’s Kent School of Social Work. As a participant of the Public Child Welfare Certification Program, he has over a decade of experience working in the field of Social Work, primarily with children, and a specific emphasis on adolescent-teenage populations. Mr. Owens’s work experiences include working as a Child Protective Services worker in a rural setting for over four years, two years working as a Middle School Counselor in an urban community, and 4 years serving diverse client populations in a community mental healthcare setting as both a therapist and a clinical supervisor. Mr. Owens is also a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc, and a prior member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
When he is not practicing therapy, Mr. Owens can be seen on WBNA channel 21 living out his other passion as a Licensed Professional Wrestler and a member of the Ohio Valley Wrestling roster under the ring name of “Big Zo.”
Mr. Owens is married and has two children. He enjoys time with his family, wrestling, exercise, powerlifting, video games, and helping others to realize their full potential.
