Brett Hammond, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker in Kentucky and Indiana. Mr. Hammond earned his bachelor’s degree in English from Southeast Missouri State University and his master’s degree in social work from the University of Louisville.
Mr. Hammond has several years of experience working in a variety of outpatient and inpatient mental health settings including residential group homes, psychiatric hospitals, and community mental health. He provides treatment to adolescents and adults of all ages. Mr. Hammond has experience treating a variety of concerns, including but not limited to: mood disorders, anxiety, grief, trauma, substance use, life stress, and other behavioral and emotional concerns. He has a particular interest working with patients experiencing self-criticism and shame. Mr. Hammond uses an integrated treatment model that addresses all aspects of a patient's life, including cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and psychodynamic modalities.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his spouse, reading, swimming, watching movies, hiking, and participating as a proud member of The Coopers, a supporters' club of Louisville City Football Club.
