Cowann Owens, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker in Kentucky.
Mr. Owens earned his bachelor’s degree in social work from Murray State University and his master’s degree from the Kent School of Social Work at the University of Louisville.
As a participant of the Public Child Welfare Certification Program, he has over a decade of experience working in the field of social work, primarily with children, with specific emphasis on adolescent-teenage populations. Mr. Owens worked for Child Protective Services in a rural setting for over four years, spent two years working as a middle school counselor in an urban community, and served diverse client populations in a community mental healthcare setting as both a therapist and a clinical supervisor for four years. Mr. Owens is also a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc, and a prior member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
Mr. Owens provides professional care and treatment for children (starting at age four), adolescents, teens, adults, families, and couples. He has experience in treating anxiety, depression, mood/anger management, impulsive/disruptive behaviors, grief, school issues, ADHD, and adjustment disorders.
During his free time, Mr. Owens can be seen on WBNA channel 21 living out his other passion as a licensed professional wrestler and a member of the Ohio Valley Wrestling roster under the ring name of “Big Zo.” Mr. Owens is married and has two children. He enjoys spending time with his family, wrestling, exercise, powerlifting, video games, and helping others to realize their full potential.
